Job Description

This role involves working within the Internal Audit function to provide analytics, insight, and visualisation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk assessment and planning processes and outcomes. Specifically:

  • Develop and influence the consistency and quality of reporting through data-led analysis and insight.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Leadership Team to influence/change behaviours to ensure risk assessment is a continuous activity rather than an annual/bi-annual input to the planning process.
  • Develop the report writing and visualisation skills of the team through coaching, mentoring, and training.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Awareness of both Bank and Internal Audit strategy to align the outcomes of the Audit Universe, Risk Assessment, and Audit Planning methodology and processes.
  • Awareness of the Group's risk management framework and approach and the role of Internal Audit in the framework.
  • Understand the Internal Audit methodology and the principal risks impacting the bank.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in the risk assessment and audit planning approach to meet the evolving requirements of the risks associated with the audit universe.
  • Provide timely, effective, and impactful insights to the Audit Leadership team through data analysis of Risk Assessment and Audit Planning MI (using tools like Power BI and Tableau).

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in auditing or risk management backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of risk management framework in financial or banking institutions.
  • Strong data analytics and visualisation skills and the use of PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools (i.e., not just Excel) for storytelling of insights to colleagues.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
