Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the financial planning and forecasting processes of our organization. As a Business Development Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing financial results and key operations metrics, supporting management expense budget, and preparing financial planning and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial planning processes including annual planning/budgeting and monthly forecasting;
  • Review and analyze the underlying assumptions used for planning projections and business cases;
  • Ensure the accuracy of monthly management reports and presentation materials to senior management, regional office, board and board committees;
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, highlighting significant deviations and recommending corrective actions to improve performance;
  • Understand and analyze the key drivers to validate forecast and to support business functions in establishing data-driven decisions and strategies;
  • Implement metrics to monitor performance against forecast and plan, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and targets;
  • Analyze expenses and update expense methodology, including updates to support IFRS 17 attributable expenses analysis;
  • Support finance initiatives including benchmarking studies, providing support for IT reporting and other initiatives as rolled out by Allianz Group.

Key Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy/Professional Qualifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) or other equivalent professional qualifications;
  • Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with audit or Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) background;
  • Insurance industry experience will be an added advantage;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal stakeholders and work efficiently;
  • Meticulous, strong analytical skills and strong commercial acumen;
  • Positive working attitude, self-starter, committed and driven to meet deadlines and targets.
