This Role: What You'll Do

  1. Strong background in technology domains, particularly networking routing and switching, is essential. Proficiency in tunneling communication protocols such as IPsec, VXLAN, GRE, OTV is also required.
  2. Extensive experience with network protocols, including IP routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS, and cloud networking knowledge such as NATGW, IGW, VGW, TGW, VPC peering, and etc., is crucial. Knowledge of network security infrastructure, including NGFW, IPS, VPN, Endpoint Security, is equally important.
  3. Develop and implement comprehensive network infrastructure and cloud network connectivity addressing performance, scalability, and security requirements. Oversee end-to-end processes from design, implementation, until operational optimization. Architecture design must include the lifecycle of network routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, load balancers, etc.
  4. Prepare RFP specifications for technology refresh, lead in IT network solution design for RFP/RFQ, including conduct presentation to stakeholders on recommended options and solution, followed by technical input for contract review.
  5. Analyze technologies across the IT network landscape to reduce costs, consolidate infrastructure, and recommend new technologies to upgrade end-of-life network equipment.
  6. Provide support for all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, load balancers, firewall, SD-WAN, UPS when necessary.
  7. Oversee the end-to-end IT network project/technology refresh implementation, from design, migration planning, implementation, and handover to operations. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity team and application team, to ensure successful deployment of projects and quality of deliverables.
  8. Manage project timelines, ensuring they do not deviate from project objectives and milestones are achievable.
  9. Build automation of service activation and deactivation, maximizing automation capability to reduce manual human intervention efforts. Identify opportunities to improve firmware upgrade workflows and system performance through automation tools. Proficient in Ansible playbook writing and Terraform to automate workflow and provisioning.
  10. Update policy and procedure documentation in key areas such as infrastructure lifecycles, vendor management, and resource onboarding processes; review existing IT network processes and controls, assess gaps, and recommend/executing remediation plans.
  11. Practice hardware asset management, including maintenance of network equipment inventory, ensure CMDB record data consistency, and store technical specifications documentation in repository.
  12. Performance Metrics:
    1. 100% of Incidents, Service Request (SR) and Event Resolved within 3 hours (Severity 1)
    2. 100% of Incidents, Service Request (SR) and Event Resolved within 6 hours (Severity 2)
    3. 99% Operational Changes implemented successfully and on time
    4. 100% of Problems have an RCA within 3 days from when Incident is Resolved (Severity 1)
    5. 100% of Problems have an RCA within 3 days from when Incident is Resolved (Severity 2)
    6. >99.95% per month per server (applies to on-prem and cloud instances)
    7. High customer satisfaction on incidents and service requests
