Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Equipment Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of necessary controls, tester maintenance, precautions, and setup parameters to meet product specifications.
  • Equipment Transfer and Qualification: Transfer and qualify test equipment and requirements for new products, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Test Hardware Optimization: Ensure all test hardware and equipment operate at optimal levels, minimizing downtime and improving overall efficiency.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform periodic preventive maintenance on test equipment to prevent failures and ensure continuous operation.
  • Test Equipment Evaluation: Evaluate test equipment and hardware, set equipment control/verification specifications, and qualify related tests while recommending improvements to the process/production.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for test time reduction, process simplification, and elimination, as well as tester reliability enhancement and equipment conversion simplification/elimination.
  • Gage Repeatability and Reliability Studies: Conduct gage repeatability and reliability studies, correlation studies, and actions to improve both these capabilities of the tester.
  • Risk-Based Thinking: Apply risk-based thinking in planning and execution of tasks, ensuring compliance with ISO requirements, company rules and regulations, and applicable codes.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience and testing methodologies. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of a buddy, duration of learning, etc.
  • Skills: Good computer literacy, communication skills, and ability to report information/data. Strong interest in computer hardware engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Experience configuring and troubleshooting a wide range of desktop software and components, as well as experience in equipment's Total Control Methodology.
