Job Description
The Senior Solutions Engineer will be responsible for driving architecture strategy, roadmap, governance, and providing architecture guidance to the wider Functions Architecture Team. The role will also involve collaborating with Application Architects and Project Teams to ensure solutions are aligned to wider Functions/Group Architecture Strategy, Policy, and Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive tech simplification to simplify technology estate, identify opportunities to rationalise to fewer best-of-breed platforms, and aggressively decommission redundant applications.
  • Contribute to investment planning/prioritisation with businesses and Technology & Infrastructure teams.
  • Work with Application Architects and Project Teams on evaluations and Proof of Concepts for new technologies and other strategic technology initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 15 or more years of total experience. They will also have more than 10 years of relevant experience in a hands-on role for solution architecture, preferably in banking. Additionally, they should have experience in large, complex organisations, ability to handle cultural diversity, and managing senior stakeholders.
