Job Description:

To provide expertise in manufacturing producibility knowledge and information for engineering and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret complex data from engineering drawings, CAD models, and standards to drive manufacturing solutions.
  • Review, identify, and validate detailed changes and their impacts based on change procedures.
  • Create, validate, and maintain product bill of materials and configurations according to customer specifications.
  • Develop clear manufacturing process sequences and technique documents for compliance, ease, and efficiency.
  • Purchased parts configuration and condition of supply must be maintained per manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Compile, validate, and transmit engineering data to suppliers at the correct configuration, scope, and timing.
  • Deliver technical training within teams or to Production and Production Support groups.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes to estimate process flow, build labor hours, materials, and tooling for new project bids.
  • Operate within and support planning, tracking, and maintenance of functional and operational budgets.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) to validate non-conformances and lead multi-functional activities to find agreeable dispositions and containment.
  • Identify and validate root causes and corrective actions using problem-solving tools and best practices in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
  • Respond to supplier and production requests for engineering assistance of varying complexity following applicable procedures.
  • Collaborate with Tooling organizations to design, test, and implement effective tooling and equipment for manufacturing.
  • Support gap analysis, development plans, and training to improve overall organization competency.
  • Evaluate and propose improvements to tools, systems, and procedures used by engineers for better compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in technical fields like aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or material science is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in related technical fields is necessary.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia in speaking, listening, and writing is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools while SAP and CATIA skills are an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and planning skills are required.
  • Solid business acumen and a strong drive for business improvements are expected.
  • A proven track record of ability to perform under minimal supervision is preferred.
