Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical HVAC and process utility systems, including calculations, equipment selection, and system specifications.
- Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with project teams to integrate and optimize HVAC systems designs.
- Technical Direction: Provide technical direction, oversight, and thorough reviews of mechanical designs and calculations.
- Site Work and Documentation: Conduct site work to obtain existing field conditions for design and attend site meetings as needed. Ensure proper backup of softcopy design drawings.
- Project Management: Assist project teams in fulfilling main contract documents control procedures and work independently to address special requests from clients and consultants.
- Design Planning and Implementation: Oversee the overall planning, implementation, and completion of drawing designs. Report to superiors on a weekly basis regarding drawing design issues.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare technical reports, including basis of design and system evaluations.
- Cost Control: Control design costs and meet project budget targets for mechanical scope.
- Support and Assistance: Assist superiors with BQ pick-up and perform other related tasks assigned by superiors.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a design engineer in the HVAC and process utility systems industry.
- CAD Software: Proficiency in CAD software, including Autodesk and SolidWorks.
- Microsoft Office: Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
