Piping and Pressure Vessel Risk Engineer Job Description
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our piping systems during operations. You will develop and implement risk-based inspection strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement RBI solutions for piping and Pressure Vessel systems.
- Deliver RBI strategies at project committed dates.
- Perform detailed risk assessments of Piping and Pressure Vessel systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Review and interpret technical documentation.
- Prepare and present reports on RBI findings.
- Support the development of inspection plans and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and training to inspection and maintenance teams.
- Participate in safety reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors.
- Prepare RBI Contractors' Request for Quotations and Purchase Requests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Certification in relevant RBI methodologies or 5 years practical RBI experience in operations.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Piping and Pressure Vessel inspection.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Risk-Based Inspection management of upstream Oil & Gas operating assets.
- Strong knowledge of International Standard driving Piping and Pressure Vessel standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of Classification Society Rules for FPSOs is preferred.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, inspection, and incident investigation.
