Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying applications using the OutSystems platform. This role requires extensive experience in OutSystems development, a strong grasp of software engineering principles, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications using the OutSystems platform. Implement custom solutions and integrations with external systems. Ensure applications are built to meet business requirements and technical specifications.
  2. Code Quality and Standards: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and improve code quality. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  3. Testing and Debugging: Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure application functionality. Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs. Perform thorough debugging and ensure applications are error-free.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business analysts, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and peers.
  5. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development activities. Document technical specifications, configurations, and implementation details.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest developments in the OutSystems platform and related technologies. Suggest and implement improvements to development processes and methodologies. Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development. At least 3 years of experience with the OutSystems platform.
  3. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Preferred Qualifications: Outsystems certification(s) (e.g., Outsystems Professional Developer). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
