Job Summary

To support the QA manager in driving quality best practices across Jabil South's operations, focusing on the manufacturing floor. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to ensure effective use of quality tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and evaluate the impact of QA department activities on F4 efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan long-term and short-term functions of the QA department, aligning with Jabil's objectives.
  3. Develop and manage operational metrics to drive continuous improvement within the QA department.
  4. Evaluate and justify budget requirements for the QA department.
  5. Plan and deliver training activities to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  6. Lead, coach, and manage QA department staff to achieve high performance standards.
  7. Assess and improve the effectiveness of management systems at Jabil South.
  8. Identify and address profit loss issues to enhance Jabil's market position.
  9. Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations, as well as company security policies.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and PCB assembly processes.
  • Expertise in global and regional logistics operations, including industry trends.
  • Ability to analyze logistics requirements and develop strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in business analytics.
  • Familiarity with international direct and indirect taxes, as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and personal computers.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality-related field.
  • Additonal 2 years of managerial experience.
  • A combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
