This vital role ensures high-quality fund administration services for clients. An Investment Data & Valuation Associate Director oversees internal and vendor systems for accurate investment product databases, pricing, and valuation. They process corporate actions, manage financial data, and report to clients.
A strong understanding of financial markets, exchange-traded, and OTC products is essential, along with a keen interest in learning new technologies and systems. The IDV Associate Director reviews work, ensures tasks are completed, and investigates issues. They may lead teams on certain mandates, acting as the first point of contact and owning day-to-day operations.
The key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and quality-controlling a global reference database for various financial products.
- Ensuring accurate and timely pricing and evaluation, performing price validation, and interacting with market data vendors.
- Processing corporate actions at global portfolios, including dividend, split, merger/acquisition, call/put, etc., and asset servicing, drawdown, payback, rate reset, etc.
- Setting up, maintaining, and monitoring automated processes, such as trade capture, investment pricing, and OTC derivatives evaluation.
- Responding promptly to client inquiries related to financial instruments, corporate actions, pricing, and valuation, as well as investment reporting.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, or other quantitative fields. CFA, FRM, or enrollment in professional programs is highly desired. Relevant experience in financial services or related industries is preferred.
Strong knowledge of VBA, SQL, Python, or other scripting languages is required. Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, IHS Markit, and/or other market data vendors is also necessary. Strong communication skills and approachability are essential for success in this role.
