About the Department

The Technology and Operations function comprises five specialist teams, each bringing unique capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. We work collaboratively to develop, centralize, and standardize technology systems and banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate IT-related projects for UOB Group and APAC branches assigned from time to time.
  • Understand business functions and analyze user requirements, creating a clear project scope and building consensus with users.
  • Lead analysis and scoping of data sourcing and functional enhancements, functional/application design, and obtain user agreements.
  • Obtain commitments from all stakeholders on project plans and handle change management.
  • Create project schedules, activity lists, and control measures to keep the schedule and budget on track.
  • Communicate key project plans, commitments, and changes, including requirements, QA plans, schedules, and scope changes.
  • Arrange user acceptance tests and work with vendors to prepare test environments and support functional testing.
  • Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans.
  • Prepare necessary documents to facilitate project delivery (release checklist, UAT results, etc.).
  • Communicate project details and schedules to the Business as required.
  • Lead and coordinate Go-Live activities, executing deployment plans and checklists.
  • Ensure project delivery meets or exceeds user expectations.
  • Review post-implementation issues and manage risks and resolve production incidents.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different team members and developer resources.
  • Supervise developer resources' work, ensuring quality coding practices and processes are observed.
  • Continuously improve FA team processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience, with exposure to project management best practices/methodologies/project lifecycle.
  • 5-10 years of supporting SAP ECC6 environment from a functional perspective, with solid understanding of core Finance modules (Finance and Controlling, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Order Management, Budget Control System).
  • Working knowledge of Material Management, Workflow Management functionalities, Flexible Real Estate, Asset Accounting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ABAP programming language, Control-M schedule, JIRA issue management tool preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Basis and Oracle databases preferred.
  • Formal training in project management practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • General PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office, with expert-level Excel and working knowledge of MS Access.
  • Experience with IT support of Financial Accounting and Procurement business functions preferred.
  • Capability in requirement analysis and functional design skills in an SAP ECC6 environment.
  • Capability of self-learning and quick learning.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced organization.
  • Good communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Ability to network and influence others without direct oversight or supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues in distributed global locations.
