We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our team at Sime Darby Plantation Berhad. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, managing, reporting, timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation for solar projects.

">Job Description:
  • Project Management:
    • Assist project managers in coordinating on-site activities, liaising with relevant authorities, vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring that constructions and installations are performed according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of project budgets, expenses, and timelines, and produce, compile and maintain accordingly accurate records of project documentations and paper works.
  • Documentations and Reporting:
    • Prepare, compile and maintain accordingly project documentations for regulatory compliances and future operation and maintenances, and provide post-installation support and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Coordinate, manage and supervise on-site activities during the project implementations phase, i.e installation of solar panels, construction works and all associated systems, utilities and facilities.
  • Technical Support & Quality Assurance:
    • As a developer's or owner's representative in checking, verifying, providing and participating in technical guidance and support to project teams, vendors and necessary stakeholders.
    • To participate in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise during the project period, monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Authorities Interaction:
    • Interface with authorities to understand their requirements and provide updates on project status, assist in the coordination works, follow ups and support the vendors and stakeholders with relevant authorities matters.
    • Participate in safety and compliances, operational and technical audits / assessments, reports, inspections and implementations accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Experience in large scale solar plant operation and maintenance is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in large scale solar project, engineering, renewable energy and related project environment.
