Assistant Account Manager

Salary: 6,000 MYR ~ 8,000 MYR

Our company is looking for a skilled and experienced financial professional to fill the role of Assistant Account Manager.

About the Position

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, including preparing and reviewing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. You will also be responsible for overseeing the accounting team and providing guidance on accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounting team and provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as taxation and accounting standards.
  • Provide financial advice to management on strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audit exercises.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other supporting documents.
Requirements

Requirements:
- Diploma and above degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 5-8 years of full set accounting experience
- People management experience is required too
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Experience in tax computation, external audit financial statement preparation, liaising with company secretary and preparing BOD accounting reports
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Advantage:
- Experience in Trading company or Manufacturing company
- Prior experience in leading Accounting team
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Some knowledge on project accounting (profit/loss by each sales order, WIP, labor costs, transportation cost, variances etc)
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in Japanese language will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate constructively
- A highly responsible individual who has a passion to learn and is able to work independently.
