This role is based in Malaysia and responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with domestic and global suppliers and partners. The successful candidate will act as a strategic legal partner to our business units, resolving their legal needs and providing remote legal support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate all aspects of procurement, partnership, and other contracts with suppliers and partners.
  • Advise on legal, commercial, and operational risk issues as part of providing legal advice on the contracts.
  • Work closely with various business lines and stakeholders to provide pragmatic and robust legal solutions consistent with our policies.
  • Maintain documentation systematically and retain organizational memory within the corporate business group.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team at Singtel, Singapore.

Requirements

">
  • Degree in Law and admission to practice in Malaysia/Singapore or the UK.
  • Minimum 5 years' PQE gained as an in-house lawyer or with a reputable commercial law firm.
  • Strong legal analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and meet critical deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
