Job Description

We are seeking an Onboarding Engineer to join our team in Bayan Lepas. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, this role will organize and execute project management and construction activities on a dredger and act as a translator between the crew.

  • To ensure works on dredger run smoothly.
  • Act as the main translator between crewmates.
  • Day-to-day management including supervising and monitoring site labor force and work of any subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities

This position oversees quality control, safety & health and environmental matters on site. It resolves any unexpected technical issues/difficulties and other problems that may arise. Additionally, it oversees the selection and requisition of materials and plans to ensure all materials used are as per specifications. Preparation of daily progress reports and monthly progress reports is also a key responsibility.

This role requires collaboration with other departments to settle issues when necessary. Adherence to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to job scope and workplace is mandatory. Other duties assigned by Management are also part of this role.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required for this position. Proficiency in Chinese language and good computer knowledge (Microsoft Office and AutoCAD) are essential skills.
