Job Description

  1. Develop and implement architectural vision, strategy, and direction for software development, including conceptualizing and experimenting with new approaches, creating design models, software frameworks, and utilities tools.
  2. Establish and manage departmental software development framework, policies, guidelines, and best practices.
  3. Lead and guide project teams comprising application developers.
  4. Oversee the implementation of software frameworks and utilities tools projects.
  5. Maintain oversight of team progress and resolve any arising issues.
  6. Provide technical consultation, guidance, and support to project teams on IT platform direction, strategy, resolution of technical issues, and technical solution recommendations.
  7. Collaborate with project teams in troubleshooting technical issues related to software development.
  8. Offer direction and support to project managers and team members, ensuring clear duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability are defined and understood for direct subordinates.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in enterprise-level application development and 3 years of hands-on software/solution architecture design experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience with Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Incremental).
  • Experience with cloud-aware application design.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Able to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies such as messaging queues, API gateways, and enterprise service buses (ESBs).
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, enterprise architecture principles, and various relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of Mandarin would be an added advantage.
