Job Overview

The Business Operations Director position is a key role at Jabil Circuit, responsible for managing the high precision machining operation with a focus on reducing operating costs, increasing revenues, and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business, expand capabilities, and drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing methodologies and automation.
  • Lead the site operations teams, including manufacturing, engineering, quoting, materials, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of financial goals.
  • Collaborate with sales to pursue additional opportunities with current customers and win new business prospects while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Expand site capabilities and technologies to support long-range planning and achieve overall company goals.
  • Develop personnel, maintain discipline and morale of site teams, and work closely with business units, sales, and corporate functions to achieve company objectives.
  • Perform periodic forecasting of revenue, capital expenditures, and resources to reduce operational costs and increase revenue.
  • Ensure all groups work together effectively, trends are monitored, and quality is maintained at a high standard.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong knowledge of global and regional machining operations and semiconductor capital equipment industry.
  • Ability to determine requirements to enable company business goals and develop a plan to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, proficiency in managing business analytics, and experience in implementing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English as a requirement.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and email skills.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum four years related work experience with a high-volume contract manufacturing company.
  • Extensive experience working directly with customers and developing customer relationships.
  • Experience in personnel management and development.
