Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing service tasks, change bearings, measuring bearing clearances, changing couplings, and conducting alignment using dial gauge indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and reassemble rotating equipment on-site, including recording all required data and proper marking of all parts.
  • Perform service tasks, change rotors, conduct clearance checks, and alignment using laser and dial methods, as well as hydraulic fitting of couplings.
  • Perform oil flushing of the complete system.
  • Possess basic theoretical knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as lube oil, power oil, seal gas, inlet filter, condensate drain, and other auxiliary systems related to turbomachinery installations.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble machinery following pre-established work scopes or using own judgment in situations where no work scope could be defined, i.e., emergency repairs, problem-solving, etc. All work to be completed following current instructions or established good engineering practices.
  • Carry out tasks on new installations, maintenance, and repair activities on turbo compressors, steam turbines, expanders, and other rotating equipment as instructed by the Supervisor/Site Manager.
  • Coordinate working sites with clients, team members, and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree/higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with > 5 years of experience in rotating equipment (steam turbine, turbo compressor, and expander).
  • Very good knowledge of rotating equipment (steam turbines, compressors, and expanders).
  • Experience in reading technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanations of details, and cross-sectional drawings.
  • Good reporting skills and the ability to report findings in the field in writing.
  • Skillful in using measuring tools like dial indicators, Vernier calipers, and micrometers.
  • Advanced analytical thinking, independent, punctual, resolute, hands-on mentality, able to handle stress and difficult situations in a calm manner.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English for conversations with clients, subcontractors, and other staff on-site.
  • Prepared to travel and work under sometimes difficult conditions.
