Job OverviewThis role is responsible for the overall performance of an operational site, ensuring the achievement of financial and operational objectives. Key activities include:
Responsibilities- To manage, plan, organize, staff, and direct warehouse activities at the site, maintaining optimal productivity and customer satisfaction levels.
- To develop and implement strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPI) in areas such as cost management, productivity, customer service, and profit.
- To ensure that teams deliver against their customer, site, and people KPI, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- To drive all activities related to customer on-boarding, retention, and operational excellence by collaborating at a site level.
- To identify opportunities for productivity improvement and implement initiatives to enhance site performance, ensuring that productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business opportunities.
- To oversee the safe operation of warehousing activities across the site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
- At least 3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills to effectively oversee warehouse staff.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage daily operations, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments, facilitating effective collaboration and information exchange.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management, ensuring accurate data and efficient processes.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations, maintaining a safe working environment.
