Job Summary:

VAT GROUP is seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production planning department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating machining production planning and managing external treatment suppliers to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Availability of Manufacturing Parts: Ensure the availability of manufacturing parts for production (machining and assembly) to meet customer demand, with timely delivery of all products in required quality and at reasonable cost levels.
  • Plan and Regulate Production Schedule: Plan, regulate, and alter production schedules according to demand and with established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Monitor Production Progress: Follow up daily on production/treatment supplier progress to ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the plan.
  • Expedite Production Operations: Expedite production operations by organizing with various functions and ensuring the availability of necessary resources, such as manpower, raw materials, jigs/fixtures, and machines with the right programs and parameters.
  • Perform Machine Capacity Planning: Perform machine capacity planning and manpower requirement according to forecast, ensuring resources are utilized fully and effectively.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction: Participate in meetings for new product introduction to define new processes and resources required.
  • Ensure Accurate Information: Ensure accurate information while planning using Dynamics ERP system (D365) and Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS- FASTEMs) with accurate data entry and timely transactions.
  • Communicate with Departments: Communicate with all responsible departments in case of quality issues, availability of parts and components, critical delivery deadlines, initiation, and implementation of improvement measures.
  • Optimize Stock Levels: Ensure optimum stock levels at both finished goods stores and material kitting areas to meet demand and delivery.
  • Initiate Continuous Improvement: Initiate and participate in continuous improvement processes and 5S at the work environment to increase productivity and maintain safety, especially towards meeting departmental KPIs.
  • Assume Additional Tasks: Assume tasks and assignments given by the supervisor as deemed necessary in improving the current system.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably with a minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in production planning.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and good follow-up skills. Results and customer-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills and working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
