Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Onshore/Offshore Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in rotating equipment (steam turbines, compressors, and expanders).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform service tasks, change bearings, measure bearing clearances, and carry out alignment using dial gauge indicators.
  • Disassemble/reassemble rotating equipment on-site, including recording all required data and proper marking of all parts.
  • Perform oil flushing of the complete system.
  • Possess basic theoretical knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as lube oil, power oil, seal gas, inlet filter, condensate drain, and other auxiliary systems related to turbomachinery installations.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble machinery following pre-established work scopes or using own judgment in situations where no work scope could be defined.
  • Carry out tasks on new installations, maintenance, and repair activities on turbo compressors, steam turbines, expanders, and other rotating equipment as instructed by the Supervisor/Site Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree/higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with > 5 years of experience in rotating equipment.
  • Very good knowledge of rotating equipment (steam turbines, compressors, and expanders).
  • Experience in reading technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanations of details, and cross-sectional drawings.
  • Good reporting skills and the ability to report findings in the field in writing.
  • Skillful in using measuring tools like dial indicators, Vernier calipers, and micrometers.
  • Advanced analytical thinking, independent, punctual, resolute, hands-on mentality, able to handle stress and difficult situations in a calm manner.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English for conversations with clients, subcontractors, and other staff on-site.
  • Prepared to travel and work under sometimes difficult conditions.
