About the Role

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Site Operations Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing exceptional service to our customers, and leading a team of Critical Facilities Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of quality by ensuring the team is proficient in planning, preparing, performing, and reporting on maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the Critical Facilities team maintains fully reliable infrastructure, emphasizing energy efficiency, continuity of services, and budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee Critical Facilities team workflow/work orders, training plans, event planning, customer communication, hiring, and performance management for the site team.
  • Provide guidance to the team regarding the more challenging aspects of maintenance such as: critical MOP development, testing plans, sparing methods, capital planning, replacement at end of life and expansion of existing facilities, while eliminating risk to our customers and their businesses.
  • Oversee and execute daily engineering and operations functions at the facility to ensure safe and effective operation of all equipment.
  • Promote a team-oriented environment through positive feedback as necessary.
  • Hold employees accountable for preventive/corrective maintenance of facility equipment.
  • Ensure positive customer experiences by maintaining a customer-focused Critical Facility team.
