About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our international tax team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with international income tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and file all of the Company's federal forms, including analyzing information and determining the appropriate tax position for specific items within these forms.
  • Determine the annual foreign tax credit position, which involves calculating earnings and profits/tax pools for all 101 foreign subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate with external tax service providers to ensure compliance with international income tax regulations.
  • Identify and implement ongoing process improvements in international tax compliance to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Conduct research on tax issues related to tax return preparation, audit support, tax planning implementation, and more.
  • Participate in income tax-related meetings with management at all levels, including senior management, and may include making presentations.
  • Assist with special research projects.
  • Maintain current tax expertise by attending at least two tax seminars per year.
  • Promote company-wide tax awareness and emphasize the importance of compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in international tax, gained through private or public accounting, tax law, or a governmental revenue department.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. international tax compliance.
  • Experience with U.S. GAAP.
  • Knowledge of international tax law for both U.S. and foreign entities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of organizational proficiency.
  • Proven hands-on approach with success in a team-based environment and experience in leading a broader team.
  • Strong internal customer service orientation and ability to build effective relationships with business unit leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively across multiple functions and with various levels of management.
  • Working knowledge of transfer pricing rules and methodologies.
