Job Summary

You will be responsible for managing the company's tax affairs, including tax compliance, planning, and audit.

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all direct tax returns, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other related taxes.
  • Manage the tax accounting process, including the preparation of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Tax Planning & Strategy
  • Identify and evaluate tax planning opportunities to optimize the company's direct tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for business transactions and operations.
  • Analyze the tax implications of business decisions and provide proactive tax advice to management.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in direct tax planning.
Tax Audits & Controversy
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits conducted by tax authorities.
  • Prepare responses to tax inquiries and notices.
  • Represent the company in tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities.
  • Develop strategies to resolve tax controversies efficiently and effectively.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Professional tax qualification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is highly preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in direct tax, preferably within a multinational corporation or a reputable tax advisory firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of direct tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and controversy management.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
