We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated researcher to join our team at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. As a Graduate Research Assistant, you will be working on an exciting wet lab project focused on empirical study of dried yeast viability and vitality.

The successful candidate will enroll in a postgraduate programme at INBIOSIS, UKM and work independently on a research topic for 2-3 years. To qualify, you should have a strong molecular biology background, experience in wet labs, and a great interest in food biotechnology, especially bakery.

Beyond your academic credentials, we are looking for someone who is diligent, determined, and possesses excellent scientific writing skills. If you are passionate about industrial biotechnology and bakery, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key responsibilities include optimising enzyme expression for gluten detoxification of flour dough, physico-chemical characterisation of treated dough, and formulation of optimal baking using bioengineered yeast.

In return for your hard work, you will receive a monthly stipend to help with tuition fees and other benefits. Priority is given to self-sponsored students.
