We are seeking a talented Cyber Security Data Engineer to join our team at National Oilwell Varco. As a member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture, assembling complex data sets, and architecting SIEM data storage and processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Architecture: Design and implement efficient data pipelines to meet business requirements.
  • Scripting Languages: Leverage expertise in PowerShell, JavaScript, and Python to assemble and manipulate data.
  • SIEM Solutions: Manage and architect complex SIEM data storage and processing solutions.
  • Data Processing Algorithms: Design and implement new data processing algorithms to process high volumes of data.
  • Analytics Tools: Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in similar functions with a strong background in data engineering and cyber security.
  • Expertise in scripting languages, including PowerShell, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (PaaS, IaaS, etc.) and networking protocols.
  • Experience managing Windows and Linux servers with a strong understanding of security best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM and logging solutions, including Splunk, Scalyr, Dataset, Cribl, syslog-ng, Elastic, etc.
