Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Director of Engineering to lead our engineering operations across multiple properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Engineering Operations: Oversee the physical plant at all properties in the cluster, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to deliver products and services that meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and employees, while maximizing financial performance.
  • Lead Emergency Response Team: Lead the emergency response team for all facility issues, ensuring prompt and effective response to emergencies.
  • Manage Budget and Capital Expenditures: Manage the budget and capital expenditures for engineering operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and Manage Engineering Teams: Develop and manage engineering teams, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure effective performance.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, maintaining property life safety systems and reviewing building and equipment licenses, permits, and certifications.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, with 6 years of experience in engineering and maintenance, or 2-year degree in a related field, with 4 years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Technical training in HVAC-R, Electrical, and Plumbing, with experience in managing engineering operations and budgets.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategies, manage teams, and ensure compliance with regulations.
