Job Description

The Technical Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of technical accounting in the Asia Pacific region. This includes delivering robust technical expertise to decision-making and transactional planning and recording, as well as building the company's R2R and IFRS technical capability in the region.

About the Role

This is a key role within the APMA commercial finance leadership team, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with regional FRA and commercial organizations, as well as partners outside the regional commercial organization.

The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in public accounting within a blue-chip multinational environment, with a strong background in financial accounting reporting based on IFRS standards.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to extract and communicate key concepts from complex situations.

  • Communicate and coordinate regional technical accounting matters across regional FRA and commercial organisations.
  • Provide technical accounting direction across the full organisation for the region, in planning and recording local BD&L and other transactions.
  • Work closely with Country FRA Heads/R2R to review accounting position papers and memos for business deals.
