Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Wintel Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Cyberjaya. As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing the Windows Server Platform, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and upkeep of Windows Server Platform, VMware hypervisor platform, and ensure services are up and running without downtime.
  • Collaborate with application SREs to ensure system services are healthy.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for application team on addressing requests on Windows Platform.
  • Set up new servers (physical and virtual), configure Windows Failover clusters, ensuring security reviews and endorsements.
  • Work with vendors during hardware maintenance at the Data Centre.
  • Document and automate tasks as we work on different iterations.
  • Act as consultant on expertise to other IT/Application, network, application, and middleware teams across the bank.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Management.
  • Relevant experience of over 6 years in Windows Server Management.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, Wintel high availability solutions (Clustering), and cloud-based platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in new system setup, system hardening, basic infrastructure system tools, and print server management.
  • Experience in troubleshooting VMware Infrastructure and in-depth knowledge of VMware features.
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, harden, and secure Windows systems.
  • Knowledge in server upgrades and cutover from one operating system to another.
  • Experience with different ITSM tools and Incident Management processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Financial Services industry would be advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications in Windows, VMware, Citrix/Public Cloud would be beneficial.

Knowledge, Soft Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, explaining complex technological ideas and concepts to non-technical audience.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills, written and oral communication skills, and formal documentation skills.
  • Proactive incident management with situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with vendors, professional services, and providers.
