About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our cross-functional product team in Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Engineering, Design, and Product Management to drive the digital design in the Consumer Experience organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze new needs together with product managers, UX, and system designers to ensure seamless product development.
  2. Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure high-quality software releases.
  3. Design, implement, and optimize test automation infrastructure for mobile applications and backend services.
  4. Perform manual tests, exploratory tests, load tests, and other types of testing to identify and report defects.
  5. Collaborate with the Digital Quality Assurance team to build internal tools and frameworks to improve team productivity.
  6. Track and manage defects throughout the software development cycle.
  7. Troubleshoot Continuous Integration stability issues and resolve defects as needed.

Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years of software test engineering experience on mobile app and/or backend service application.
  2. More than 2 years of experience in testing systems, including mobile apps; functional as well as non-functional testing.
  3. Familiarity with Java, Python, Objective-C, and related projects development.
  4. Experience with Defect Management Tools such as ClearQuest, JIRA, etc.
  5. Hands-on experience with various test design techniques.
  6. Strong knowledge of testing on mobile devices (iOS, Android), APIs, and system test.
  7. Strong knowledge of UX automation principles on mobile applications.
  8. Highly experienced in test automation concepts (including UI automation).
  9. Experience with web service testing tools such as Paw, Postman, or SOAP-UI.
