Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Actuary to join our Life Actuarial division as Appointed Actuary. In this exciting role, you will lead a team responsible for managing the statutory reserving process, developing robust data quality assurance processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Reserving and Data Analysis
- Manage the statutory reserving process, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data used in reserving calculations.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform our risk management strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and reports to provide insights into reserving decisions and trends on statutory reserves.
- Data Governance and Quality Assurance
- Design and implement robust data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in reserving calculations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance and IT, to ensure seamless integration of data and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to improve our risk management strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to data protection, confidentiality, and transparency.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the company's reputation and solvency, developing strategies to minimize exposure.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead a high-performing team of Actuaries, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful delivery of projects and tasks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, IT, and other departments.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication within the team and across the organization.
