The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal design, simulation, and testing validation. You will work closely with our software team to implement fan speed control strategies and ensure optimal thermal solutions are implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for thermal solutions design to meet product requirements
- Conduct detailed thermal assessment by calculation and simulation analysis to ensure optimal thermal solutions are implemented
- Deliver comprehensive thermal proposals for RFQ technical response and present thermal proposals to customers
- Work closely with heat sink vendors to develop cost-efficient heat sink solutions
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years experience in thermal design/simulation/test validation for data center IT equipment
- Strong user of Flotherm as CFD analysis tool for performing steady state simulation analysis; transient analysis is a plus
- Expertise in various heat sinks, heat pipe, vapor chamber design/selection, as well as air mover
- Familiar with industry standards including NEBS, GR-63, ASHRAE, MSA, etc.
