About the Job

The Laboratory Chemist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and raw materials used, calibrating laboratory systems, and supervising operatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Uphold Company's Mission Statement, Quality Policy, Values and Beliefs.
  2. Assure the quality of products and raw materials used are acceptable.
  3. Calibrate all laboratory systems as per the national standards.
  4. Be the expert on all caramel and burnt sugar cooking and test methods.
  5. Ensure all laboratory & cooking records are up to date and accurate.
  6. Input formulae into IA batching system.
  7. Update E1 Manufacturing and Quality Module.
  8. Supervise & Coach operatives when carrying measurements in the laboratory.
  9. Conduct tests of all new operatives to ensure that they are qualified to undertake all the caramel test methods.
