Responsibilities

Perform periodic vulnerability assessments on BIPO SaaS applications (SAST, DAST, SCA) and BIPO SaaS servers to identify vulnerabilities and security risks, including periodic reporting of the security posture.Work with external pen test teams to perform independent penetration tests on BIPO web and mobile applications, and handle penetration test results submitted by BIPO SaaS application customers.Manage the remediations of the security findings above by triaging with the relevant party (e.g., IT for IT infra related issues, RND for BIPO application software enhancement, external pen tester and BIPO customer for status update or for facilitating clarification meeting with BIPO team).Maintain and enhance application security policies, standards and operational procedures, lead in development of application-level security controls and standards.Support business development teams in answering client questionnaires related to BIPO application security, including security discussions with clients when necessary.Understand Web Application Firewall rules (e.g., Cloudflare WAF rules), their impact on BIPO applications, esp. if the rule is not compatible with some application functions, to assist RND in making the required change to conform to the rule or to assess the risk of bypassing the rule, and create relevant documentation.Support the Information Security/Compliance Manager in maintaining security compliance by ensuring periodic relevant activities are performed and their records are filed (e.g., user access reviews, vulnerability scans), and participate in relevant security audits (ISO 27001, SOC2, etc.).Train developers on secure code writing guidance and vulnerability remediation as needed.Review new application architecture/design for security incorporation into early stages; continuously improve integration of security controls into existing lifecycle.Conduct security risk assessment for system enhancements, work with RND to manage impacts.Respond to and investigate security incidents related to application security.Lead internal projects related to application security (e.g., evaluation of security testing tools).

Technical Skills Required

At least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Cybersecurity with at least 2-year experience in application security and vulnerability management. Relevant certifications such as OSCP and CISSP will be an added advantage.Minimum of 7 years of technical experience with any combination of the following: threat modelling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security.Minimum 2-years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle in one or more languages. Proficiency in reading, writing, and reviewing code in C# will be an added advantage.Minimum 1 year experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.), familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and Microservices will be an added advantage.Experience in conducting application and infrastructure security assessments (SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST), and in using vulnerability assessment tools (e.g. Burp Suite, Fortify, HCL AppScan, Sonarqube), and have in-depth knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities (i.e. OWASP Top 10).Strong analytical and communication skills in real-time problem-solving, fast learner and keeps abreast with relevant vulnerability management and penetration test technology.Ability to effectively collaborate with software development teams.
