Financial Operations Specialist for Global Financial Reporting

The Finance Analyst role primarily assists Business Process Leads in ensuring timely closure of month end accounting books under US GAAP and Local GAAP. This involves producing complete, accurate and authorized financial reports and reconciliations within predetermined boundaries outlined by standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor manual journal vouchers in adherence to internal policies, including the use of correct journal categories and intercompany journal vouchers;
- Ensure compliance with the Group Accounting Finance Manual (AFM) in the use of Chart of Accounts (COA), particularly in manual journal vouchers;
- Verify completeness in monthly manual journals posting;
- Eliminate intercompany transactions properly, including resolving intercompany elimination deltas on a monthly basis;
- Review trial balance mapping files from non-integrated entities, prepare manual journals, and perform reconciliation between local trial balances, Oracle data, and Hyperion data monthly;
- Guarantee complete, accurate, and valid recons, establishing follow-up procedures for long outstanding items;
- Prepare and publish monthly reports for the Group, including Hyperion data;
- Troubleshoot Oracle system issues with the IT department, challenging solutions and practices when necessary;
- Maintain proper document retention satisfying legal and SOX requirements;
- Coordinate quarterly and yearly audit reviews by external auditors and internal audit, as well as SOX;
- Support other business functions, mainly within Finance, with information or analysis requests;
- Provide required GL inputs on procedures/processes and Oracle Setup regarding Projects involvement, documenting new setups and user acceptance testing.
- Assist in all GL projects.
This position will report into General Ledger and Intercompany Business Process Leads working out of the Broadcom Singapore office, assisting Business Process Leads occasionally in ad-hoc requests relevant to the role.
