Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains, participating in project planning and scheduling.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers, serving as a recognized expert in one or more technical areas.
- Review, interpret, and negotiate customer requirements and specifications, providing customer feedback.
- Deploy strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
- Proactively promote industry best practices and manage relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Research and develop system ideas, creating plans and schematics, and capturing system specifications.
- Design, modify, and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs, adhering to Celestica's procedures, regulations, and customer standards.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations, solving complex problems and liaising with suppliers, customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Recommend system modifications and create designs, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, drawings, and reports.
- Create Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
- Analyse and interpret data and information.
- Create reports and documentation.
- Prepare calculations on proposed solutions, sketch, and draw up designs using input from other engineers, requirements, and design review (DFx) team.
- Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, thermal, and structural analysis.
- Submit drawings to management, engineering teams, and customers for review.
- Provide support during the manufacturing process and finalize designs, sending prints to the production department.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
- Bachelor's Degree.
