Financial Operations Expert

The role of Financial Operations Expert at ACCA Careers involves overseeing the financial management of our global business. As part of the APAC Treasury and Payment team, you will be responsible for managing financing, treasury, and payment topics across all brands in APAC (excluding China, Japan, and Korea). Your primary focus will be on ensuring that these tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.
Cash and Liquidity Management
- Develop comprehensive liquidity forecasts to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with the Group Payment Manager and Corporate Treasury team to implement efficient cash management strategies.
- Manage internal and external loan applications to ensure adequate funding for business operations.
- Implement cash pooling and interest scaling techniques to minimize borrowing costs.
Banking Infrastructure
- Design and implement banking infrastructure to support the company's global operations.
- Administer bank E-Banking Portal accounts, ensuring seamless integration with our internal systems.
- Manage banking credit facilities limits to ensure sufficient allocation to each brand.
- Develop procedures for managing bank account closures, transfers, and updates.
- Establish a centralized system for monitoring and reconciling electronic bank statements (EBS).
Bank Power of Attorney (POA)
- Manage the update of bank signatories, collaborating with Internal Legal to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of Board Resolutions (BRs) for bank account openings and closures.
- Assist in the preparation of required bank documentation for updating bank signatories.
In Store Payment
- Develop procedures for managing terminal requests in stores and maintaining OTC access for store staff/Company users.
- Manage Payment Link user access and termination, ensuring timely resolution of payment-related issues.
Bank Guarantee
- Manage the procurement and renewal of bank guarantees (BGs), ensuring sufficient limits are allocated to each brand.
- Reconcile BG records monthly, identifying any discrepancies or errors.
- Notify Brands of BG utilization and address any limit matters with the Brand.
Overarching Activities
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and global standards.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Treasury team to develop and maintain treasury documentation and administration.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, implementing changes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, consistency, and transparency of transactions.
- Support internal control and audit for these activities.
- Job scope rotation in MY, SG, HK, MO, AU, NZ, TH, VN, PH, IN, TW, with one headcount covering 3-4 countries based on seniority level and experience.
- Additional operational tasks as assigned by the Regional Treasury and Payment Senior Manager.
Profile
- A minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, accounting, finance, or banking is required.
- 3-5 years' experience in corporate treasury, preferably in an MNC environment.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in business English and Chinese, with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and effective in communicating with Brands/Internal Legal teams and Bank Officers.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience in creating and using Microsoft Forms and Power Automate.
- A great teammate with a strong sense of ownership.
- Decent learning agility and analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced user of bank portals and understands the flow.
- Inquisitive and reciprocal to other functions.
- Good understanding of information systems, workflows, and technologies in the workplace.
- Important behavioral traits include being accountable, responsible, transparent, and reliable.
- Strong functional knowledge of treasury is essential.
- Good business acumen and understanding of cross-function interdependencies.
- Experience with Diapason and Treasury knowledge of SAP is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience handling regional stakeholders.
- Experience working with international financial/banking institutions, and thorough knowledge of commercial banking practices is an added advantage.
