Compliance and Risk Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance and Risk Manager to join our team at Progressive Impact Corporation Berhad. This role will involve providing strategic leadership and direction on compliance and risk management matters across our group and its subsidiaries.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing compliance and risk management strategies and frameworks.
  • Providing assurance on the effectiveness of our compliance and risk management framework, policies, and practices.
  • Identifying and assessing risks, developing action plans with stakeholders, and monitoring and communicating to management and the Board of Directors.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Presenting the Group's Quarterly risk report to the Corporate Risk Management Committee and the Board Risk Management Committee.
  • Serving as Secretary to the Corporate Risk Management Committee and the Board Risk Management Committee.
  • Promoting and integrating compliance and risk management in Policies and Procedures.
  • Identifying and assessing risks via interviews or workshops with all functions of our company.
  • Determining risk treatment and where applicable, developing action plans with risk owners and department heads.
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of risk action plans and proposing improvements.
  • Monitoring progress of action plan.
  • Preparing minutes of Meetings and other reports requested by the BRMC, as deemed necessary. Developing KEY Risk Indicators for our company.
  • Developing departmental brainstorming for compliance and risk management activities or initiatives.

Internal Audit

  • Acting as administrator to liaise with external auditors for internal audit activities.
  • Initiating audit plan and audit schedule for internal audit activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Accountancy or any other discipline.
  • At least 10 years' experience in risk management function.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good interpersonal and people skills.
  • Ability to analyse information obtained from conversations, reports, and observations to identify potential risks.
  • Highly critical and analytical.
  • Ability to challenge status quo and drive through changes.
  • Good commercial knowledge as well as sound understanding of financial issues, including current accounting standards.
  • A team player who enjoys technical challenges within fast-paced environment, applies sound judgement in successful task planning and execution, and meets deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to adjust own style to suit audience and achieve objective.
  • Manages complex and conflicting priorities with ease.
