About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process changes and equipment modifications that improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs. They will also lead or assist in setting up equipment, production lines, and processes, and participate in reviews to ensure design for manufacturability best practices are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Process Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that enhance manufacturability, yield, performance, quality, and reliability.
- Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Lead or assist in setting up equipment, production lines, and processes, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Design for Manufacturability: Participate in reviews to ensure that new products meet manufacturability best practices and provide feedback to designers to improve product designs.
- Documentation and Training: Create and update detailed documentation for processes and procedures, and provide training to staff on new processes and equipment.
- Project Management: Plan, conduct, and direct complex projects or major phases of significant projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Process, or Industrial Engineering or Applied Science, and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing field. You should also possess excellent interpersonal, communication, collaborative, and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage changes, and implement solutions.
Preferred Skills- Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Sorting: Experience with AOI and sorting technologies, including die picking.
- Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques: Expertise with continuous improvement tools and techniques such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and JMP for data review and analytical studies.
- Project Management and Semiconductor Manufacturing: Expertise with project management and semiconductor manufacturing, including testing, dicing, inspection, and sorting.
