The Role
  1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project to ensure timely completion.
  2. Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and suppliers to align activities with the project timeline, fostering effective collaboration.
  3. Monitor project progress, adjust schedules as needed to address delays or unforeseen issues, and communicate schedule updates to relevant teams.
  4. Prepare progress reports and present them to project managers and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  5. Identify and manage potential risks, developing contingency plans to mitigate their impact on the project.
  6. Communicate critical path changes to relevant teams and ensure project scope changes are reflected in the schedule, assessing their impact on timelines.
  7. Maintain records of project schedules, revisions, and communications, providing valuable insights for future projects.
Skills & Competencies
  1. Strong understanding of construction methods and procedures, with the ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  2. Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject, with experience in planning and coordinating multiple tasks and timelines.
  3. Excellent project management skills, including problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and strong communication skills to convey plans and risks to stakeholders.
Ideal ProfileQualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a strong foundation in project management principles.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction planning, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage, demonstrating expertise in project management methodologies.
