About This Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Director to join our Global Procurement team at Micron Technology. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving our strategic objectives and contributing to our growth and success.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record of leading critical initiatives and running sophisticated projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing commodity strategies through global alignment with Micron business units, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and site purchasing teams.
  • Building, developing, and leading a global key materials team.
  • Leading all aspects of a global supplier relationship, including contract terms, pricing, capacity assurance, risk management, continuous supply, supplier programs (consignment, VMI, local warehousing), materials forecasting, and downstream raw materials supply.
  • Establishing goals, improvement plans, business reviews, and regular reporting.
  • Supporting the organization to ensure global alignment, meet results, and timelines.
  • Conducting effective supplier negotiations and cost reductions.
  • Building senior level supplier relationships.
  • Driving supplier rationalization strategy to improve category leverage.
  • Working with the supply base to establish robust quality operating systems to support a "zero defect" culture, including administration and follow-up of Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCARs) to suppliers and participating in supplier site audits.
  • Handling supplier performance evaluation (SCORECARD).
  • Handling site-related procurement sourcing & support activities on SIG Product Category in Boise and Penang.
