Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Advanced Energy. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the field of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) materials procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and implementation of sourcing solutions for PCB materials.
  • Develop and maintain sustainable supply chains with competitive costs, quality, and effective execution.
  • Evaluate price trends, new products, and manufacturing processes to improve overall commodity team performance.
  • Support Commodity Manager and Leader in specific divisional issues such as material expediting, VMI, and Incoterms.
  • Evaluate individual supplier manufacturing capability and technology roadmap, develop suppliers' manufacturing capability to meet Advanced Energy's future product needs.
  • Support PCB design guideline and procedure update, and support related stakeholders to resolve engineering EQs or spec-related issues.
  • Support Internal Quality Control (IQC) to clarify suppliers FAI qualification issues, follow up on FAI qualification status, and new source qualification.
  • Provide technical support for local or regional design sites and operation sites related to PCB.
  • Develop approved material lists, follow up on laminate qualification status, and UL safety file updates.
  • Support Supply Quality Engineer (SQE) on root cause analysis, DOE test plans, and quality claims for suppliers' quality issues.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate and manufacturing operations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the highest ethical standards are adhered to in procurement practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization.
  • Experience in PCB manufacturing with front-end engineering or process engineering roles is highly preferred.
  • Experience with high-mix/low-volume part procurement environments is preferred.
  • Experience working with self-directed work teams.
