The Global Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in developing and implementing global chip planning strategies to meet operational requirements and optimize inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement global chip planning strategies to meet operational requirements and optimize inventory levels.
  2. Maintain accurate shipment monitoring to ensure timely delivery of chips and meet production schedules.
  3. Coordinate wafers assignment for both Pen and Wuxi plants, ensuring efficient loading and production.
  4. Analyze and prepare month-end reports, providing insights for improvement activities.
  5. Manage inventory levels to meet company objectives, ensuring optimal stock balances.
  6. Identify areas for process enhancement and improvement, implementing changes to increase productivity.

A. Demand Management:

  1. Prepare MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to forecast demand and determine order quantities.
  2. Provide rolling forecasts to suppliers, ensuring sufficient lead time for meeting our requirements.
  3. Raise purchase orders (POs) for needed materials, routing them for approval.
  4. Support change management by preparing phase-in/phase-out plans and informing stakeholders.
  5. Evaluate new chip purchases to ensure they support phase-ins without impacting production schedules or timelines.
  6. Participate in planning improvement activities to enhance productivity.

B. Chip Allocation and Delivery Fulfillment:

  1. Review stock levels and allocate chips between Pen, Wuxi, and subcon facilities.
  2. Optimize chip usage via IPDS4ALL for internal DB fulfillment and external MTO sales.
  3. Determine bin and quantity replenishment based on ideal on-hand stock distribution.
  4. Create delivery notices (DNs) for outgoing shipments.
  5. Obtain delivery commitments from suppliers, managing pull-ins, push-outs, and cancellations to avoid supply shortages and excessive stock.
  6. Collaborate with FE chip planners and 3rd-party suppliers on chip delivery improvements.
  7. Escalate late deliveries or short shipments that may cause line downtime to purchasing and management.
  8. Trigger early warnings to supply planners in case of insufficient chips and continue pull-in activities.

C. Inventory Management:

  1. Prepare monthly inventory projections according to established models, serving as a guideline for inventory level management.
  2. Monitor block and aging stocks, updating stakeholders regularly to ensure proper action is taken.
  3. Review dormant and unusable inventory, proposing salvaging activities with justification forms.

D. Operation Issues:

  1. Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation reports.
  2. Regularly review chip receiving trends to ensure supply meets customer demands.
  3. Maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) with alternative chip types, usage probabilities, and component scrap information.
