Job Overview:

A Procurement Strategist plays a crucial role in ensuring the procurement of goods and services meets organizational needs efficiently and cost-effectively.

The key responsibilities include strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Evaluation: Assess suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery times, and other criteria to ensure optimal value for money.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain a robust supplier database, negotiate favorable terms, and foster strong relationships.
  • Procurement Activities: Manage purchasing processes, including cost determination and order tracking to ensure seamless operations.
  • Cost Savings: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Monitoring: Oversee procurement budgets and implement cost-saving strategies to maximize returns.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in procurement or related roles with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive informed decision-making.
  • Expertise in costing and negotiation to secure optimal deals.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of RM120,000 - RM180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
