As a Product Development Engineer at NI, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing product lines from concept to launch. You will serve as the key contact point for our R&D team and be responsible for the technical ownership of our products.

Core Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage and oversee product lines from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
  2. Collaborate with R&D teams to understand product design architecture and theory of operation, and provide technical guidance and support.
  3. Drive product performance improvement through data analysis, root cause failure identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Guide technicians in troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing of complex RF Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and modules.
  5. Ensure on-time delivery of repair services and provide corrective actions and feedback to R&D and engineering teams.
  6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives with technicians, engineering teams, and R&D.
  7. Coach and assist technicians in verification of test failures and troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or Instrumentation from an accredited engineering program.
  2. At least 3-5 years of experience in NPI system/module/CCA in a multinational electronics-manufacturing or services environment.
  3. Experience in handling NPI, with knowledge of NPD phases.
  4. Solid communication and presentation skills to articulate technical details to different levels of audience.
  5. Solid project management experience, ability to handle multiple NPI projects.
  6. Solid understanding of the overall manufacturing system.
  7. Ability to be a self-starter and drive tasks and issues for closure.
  8. Experience in understanding product architecture and theory of operation and debug guides.
  9. Familiarity with RF measurements such as power measurements, noise and distortion measurements, and S-parameter measurements.
  10. Experience in coaching technicians to support production operations and working in various tasks and projects is preferred.
  11. PMP/ACP certification is a plus, but not required.
