Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the E3D admin team, managing databases, catalogues, specifications, and customization for assigned projects. This involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, developing innovative solutions for 3D modeling, creating and maintaining 3D modeling procedures and specifications, and analyzing and suggesting improvements to working methods.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consult with structural, piping, EICT engineers and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop customization of 3D modeling to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Create 3D modeling procedures and updates as per project requirements.
  • Suggest improvements to working methods in 3D modeling.
  • Develop workflows for 3D modeling activities for projects.
  • Report to Group Lead of Engineering and Design Section in Engineering Management department and to Project Product Manager and System Lead when assigned to a project role.
  • Support the Project Lead, Piping engineer by generating various reports to ensure quality of design.
  • Ensure that requirements are followed so that resultant 3D model is consistent, easy to navigate, and clash-free.
  • Prepare and participate in design reviews with Client and Engineering subcontractors at various stages of the project.
  • Provide technical support to end-users.
  • Project-specific customization of the system and writing macros as per project needs and for further checking quality of E3D outputs.
  • Work closely with super users in the project for smooth execution of 3D modeling.
  • Plan and conduct training for discipline designers for their continuous development.
  • Manage project licenses of E3D software.

Requirements

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering.

Certification(s): Aveva E3D/PDMS course completion or training or equivalent.

Relevant Experience: 15 or more years of experience in an Aveva E3D environment and demonstrated proficiency with Cats/Spec and with material take-off. Knowledge of standard drafting techniques applicable to offshore industry.

Software Skills: Discipline design tools and 3D modeling including AVEVA E3D, MDS, PML, and AutoCAD.

Note: Due to National Content requirements, priority will be given to local Malaysians.
