About the Role

The Tax Analyst will be responsible for preparing various tax returns and supporting the tax calculations for income tax returns, USGAAP reporting, and internal & external audit support. You'll work closely with our country tax teams and other IBM support functions to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.

  • This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret country tax laws and financial data.
  • You'll also interact with internal and external stakeholders on tax matters, working closely with our accounting and treasury teams to ensure compliance with IBM's Tax Controls Framework and Tax Policies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 4-5 years relevant tax experience, with emphasis on corporate income taxes, withholding taxes, income tax accounting, and tax operations.
  • Strong skills and background in tax compliance & tax operations, with Big 4 experience a plus.
  • A formal qualification in Accounting/Tax (e.g. ACCA, MICPA, CPA, CAANZ, etc) is essential.
  • Fluent English language skills, with additional languages an advantage.
  • Proficient Excel skills, SQL knowledge an asset.
