Job Description

Overview:

The Production Manager will oversee a group of production employees, including an engineering team, to achieve company goals and department KPI. This involves working with functional teams to attain common goals in terms of production output, cost, quality, on-time delivery, and workforce requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and oversee budgets, plans, and programs to ensure the optimum utilization of available equipment, space, and labor force to attain plant-manufacturing objectives.
  2. Optimize processes and reduce manufacturing operations costs through innovative strategies.
  3. Assure achievement of management and manufacturing objectives through the proper selection, development, training, and motivation of subordinates.
  4. Continuously plan to improve work environment, methods, effectiveness, and resource utilization, and critically review and monitor operating results.
  5. Maintain operational excellence by executing TPM and 5S activities and implementing/monitoring Lean activities and mindset.
  6. Responsible for implementing cost improvement programs through Lean Manufacturing techniques and drive successful business excellence programs for manufacturing.
  7. Ensure that all required reports, engineering, and other documentation are completed in a timely manner.
  8. Responsible for creating, modifying, and revising manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years related working experience in the manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skill in leading and coaching a team of employees.
  • An understanding of health and safety aspects of a manufacturing environment, operational management, Lean, and SAP, Six Sigma, and ISO methodology, Engineering background.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
