Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our team at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing budgets and forecasts, providing insights to management on financial performance, and assisting with strategic decision-making by creating reports that highlight key financial trends, financial ratios, and potential areas for cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and manage annual budgets, forecast future financial performance, and monitor variances against the budget.
  2. Analyzing Financial Data: Identify trends, assess profitability, and evaluate the financial health of different business units.
  3. Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving measures, analyze cost drivers, and prepare cost reports.
  4. Performance Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for management, including management accounts, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  5. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans, including financial projections and investment analysis.
  6. Capital Expenditure Analysis: Evaluate potential capital investments and their financial implications.
  7. Accounting Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and implement changes to streamline operations.
  8. Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Required Skills:
  1. Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  2. Excellent communication skills: Effectively communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  3. Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software: Expertise in accounting software like Autocount and SQL.
  5. Problem-solving skills: Identifying and resolving financial issues.
  6. Microsoft Office skills: Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance is required. Professional accounting certifications like CIMA, CA, CPA, or ACCA are also required. A minimum of 5 years' experience in management accounting for large / listed companies is essential.
